Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA)
The Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) region has 714 employees and covers the largest geographical area of any Bayer Business Services region, stretching from Iceland to Kamchatka and from the North Cape to the Cape of Good Hope. The EMEA region is managed out of Newbury (UK) and Leverkusen and operates its own IT departments in 28 countries or country groups. EMEA service centers are located in Copenhagen (Denmark), Antwerp (Belgium), Milan (Italy), and Barcelona (Spain). The region provides its services to one hundred companies located outside Germany. „The EMEA region's strategic focus is to remain truly open to the internationalization and globalization of the business“, says Regional Manager Steve Humby.


North America
The North America region is managed out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The region employs 775 Bayer Business Services employees at numerous locations in the U.S. and Canada. “We have a strong customer focus and have successfully ensured that our IT goals fully conform to the needs of our customers, who place great demands on us in the areas of sales, marketing, and distribution,” says Regional Manager Dr. Claudio Abreu.


Latin America
The Latin America region consists of 18 countries stretching from Mexico to Chile. The region's operations are managed from São Paulo (Brazil), with regional business locations in Mexico City (Mexico), Guatemala City (Guatemala), San Salvador (El Salvador), San José (Costa Rica), Caracas (Venezuela), Bogotá (Columbia), Lima (Peru), Santiago de Chile (Chile), and Buenos Aires (Argentina). In line with the Bayer Group's structure, the Latin America region is divided into five countries/country groups: Centro (Central America), Cono Sur (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Chile), Andina (Columbia, Peru, Venezuela, and Ecuador), Brazil, and Mexico. The region is served by 217 employees.


Asia
The Asia region is managed out of Hong Kong and encompasses the country groups of Greater China, Japan/Korea, India, the ASEAN states (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines), and Australia/New Zealand. The main business locations can be found in Mumbai (India), Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Jakarta (Indonesia), Ho Chi Min City (Vietnam), Manila (the Philippines), Shanghai (China), Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), and Sydney (Australia). Asia is Bayer Business Services' biggest growth region. "We have more than 600 employees in 14 countries with different nationalities, languages, alphabets, cultures, and religions," says Regional Manager Cenk Eldem. "In the past, we focused very strongly on the needs of individual countries, but over the last few years we've been implementing more centralized regional structures, partly due to the fact that more and more of our customers are taking a global view of their businesses."
